WOW - this product really is amazing. Just add water and it expands to 100 times its volume to give you nearly a bucket full of soft fluffy "snow".
Use it as a magic trick, Christmas displays, science experiments etc. You can even put it in the fridge to give a realistic snow feel.
Keep your display lasting over the festive season by lightly spraying with water occasionally. Then, when you are finished, let it dry out thoroughly and store to use again and again.
This is the genuine, original "Insta-Snow" made by Steve Spangler Science. It is supplied in a screw top plastic jar, with measuring scoop and instructions.
The jar contains 100g of powder which will expand to 2 US gallons (which is 7.5 litres or about 13 pints)
So how does it work? The powder is a polymer, similar to those used in modern disposable nappies or garden water retaining gels. It can absorb 100 times its volume in water to give a fluffy "snow" effect. The only extra thing you will need is a measuring jug to get the correct volume of water (a scoop is provided for the powder) as if you use too much water it may turn to jelly and you will have to wait for it to dry out!
The reaction of the powder and the water is fully reversible so, if correctly stored, it can be used time and again. It is environmentally safe and non-toxic (although it is very important that you do not eat the powder for obvious reasons!)
