String is wound on a cardboard inner.  Length of spool is ~55mm and diameter is ~35mm.  We estimate the spool contains over 20m of string. Will fit inside the regrettably discontinued Lakeland string dispenser ;-)    Children's craft idea:  Make a mixture of 1 part water to 1 part PVA glue.  Cut lengths of string and soak them in the PVA mixture.  Lay the string in patterns on a piece of thick card (cereal boxes are good for this) to make a pattern.  Paint when dry.
